What if Your Car Could Talk?

What would it be like if your car could talk, apart from giving you those light and sound signals? Let’s be honest, most of us don’t take care of our cars the way we should. If we did, maybe they would last forever. But, unfortunately, we are not very gentle with our cars.

It’s interesting to imagine what your car would say if it could talk. Let’s explore some of the things it could say:

1. “Hey boss. My skin is not glowing right now and the car wash is not that far.”

When was the last time you washed your car? Do you remember? Do you love when your car gets so dusty that you can trace the alphabet on it? Get your car on the skincare routine it needs and wash it often, please.

2. “Please assure me that you know where we’re going. Are you too proud to use the map?”

Your car would say this because you’ve made the same turn three times while trying to convince yourself that you are not, in fact, lost. If your car also had eyes, it would roll them at you, because you’ve decided to live in the Stone Age instead of using Google Maps.

3. “I’m not proud of the way I smell right now and you shouldn’t be either.”

When was the last time you cleaned the inside of your car? Do you know where that smell is coming from? Maybe under the seat? Who knows. One thing is for sure, your car would vomit if it could. After that, it would tell you to at least, open the windows.

4. “I really really think you should take me to the mechanic. I feel sick.”

Take pity on your car. Don’t be heartless. If your car is giving you signals of faulty systems, don’t ignore it, for its sake and yours. Make an appointment with a mechanic and let them give your car the best care it needs. Healthy car, safer life.

5. “Could you please reduce the music or just change it?”

If your music is that loud, how will you focus properly on the road? Your car is not a concert. Turn the volume down, so you can use the road better. It’s not just for your safety but for other road users too.

6. “This isn’t fast and furious. Slow down. You’re making me dizzy.”

Why are you driving that fast? Yes, the adrenaline rush can be intoxicating but consider the cost of healthcare when you get into an accident. Also, consider the cost of getting a new car or fixing up the damaged one. Yikes. Unless you’re a billionaire, which in that case, er…congratulations?

Wrapping Up

The days cars start talking, it’s over for some people. But then again, maybe that’s what is needed to finally start treating them right.
